2024 has been quite a year for Impact Futures, The Childcare Company, and FRFA. Though it has flown by, so much wonderful evolution has taken place, and such a lot has been achieved.
Our learners are at the heart of everything we do
Our learners are at the heart of everything we do, and their growth and achievements continue to be our driving force. Seeing such high levels of success as a direct result of the programmes we offer is not only a testament to the quality and impact of our work but also serves as an inspiring reminder of our purpose.
“Impact Futures has been fantastic since the start of my training,” said Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker apprentice, Nicola Renton, earlier this year. “They are a great organisation, and the entire process has been so smooth…I’ve not had one issue throughout. My coach (is) so dedicated to helping me succeed, and (has) really helped me grow. I never thought I’d be able to achieve what I have over these last 18 months.”
Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth, Collaboration, and Success
It’s with this in mind that our organisation is always looking at ways we can offer more value to the learners we teach, and the companies we support. 2024 has seen us expand and evolve in ways that allow us to do this – which we are all so excited about.

Important Landmarks
Ofsted Grade 2
Impact Futures and The Childcare Company passed this year’s Ofsted evaluation with a Grade 2 rating, officially deeming us as a ‘Good’ provider! Our team will continue to deliver the highest-quality learning and support going into 2025.
Number 1 Provider
The Childcare Company officially became the number one provider for early years and childcare specialist training and education in 2024! We are so proud of this recognition, and will continue to prove why we occupy the top spot over the coming year.
August Equity
Early in 2024, August Equity announced its investment into Impact Futures and The Childcare Company – and all of us became part of a new family! This milestone is allowing the business to expand in so many ways – which is incredibly exciting.
Armed Forces Covenant Award for FRFA
FRFA proudly received the prestigious Armed Forces Covenant Bronze Award, recognising our dedication to supporting the employment of veterans and service leavers, as well as creating a supportive environment for ex-forces employees.
FRFA Teaches 1000 Children CPR
This year, we took our renowned First Aid training into schools in the West Midlands, after pledging to teach 1000 pupils how to save a life in an emergency – free of charge. FRFA trainers were impressed with the enthusiasm shown by these young lifesavers.
Charity and Community
The Give Back Project
This year we launched a new volunteer initiative enabling the Impact Futures team to donate time to local causes and initiatives, as a means of giving back to communities all over the country. From helping neighbours with household tasks, to lending a hand at charity events, we’ve had a blast dedicating time to spreading a little happiness!
Action for Children
In 2024, Impact Futures scaled an actual mountain to raise money for Action for Children! Our group travelled to Mount Snowden to complete the challenging trek, and a lot of fun was had by all! In total, £13,620 was raised - supporting 340 children.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Tasty treats were sold at bake sales held at our Slough and Birmingham offices to raise money for Macmillan. As a company, we must really like our cake, because one bake sale alone raised a total of £370.00! A great triumph supporting patients and families.
Mental Health Foundation
We turned our offices green for the day in aid of supporting people who struggle with their mental health. A total of £570.00 was raised for this incredible cause, through a fun, green-themed day, another yummy bake sale, and more!
Powerful Partnerships
Impact Futures and The Childcare Company became Founding Partners of the Association of Apprentices (AoA) – whose mission is helping apprentices get the most out of their courses, while connecting them with a community of like-minded peers.
Our learners can join the AoA for free, and gain instant access to additional resources, help, advice, exclusive events, and a network of learners to connect with. There are also the apps AoA Connect, and AoA Learn – adding value to the learning journey.
Together with our valued partners The Access Group, we have facilitated some major levy donations to smaller businesses needing support to train their teams.
Internal Evaluation and Growth
Team Expansion
Impact Futures began the year with 253 staff members, and we’re rounding it out with 313! Not only is it indicative of our rapid growth as a business, but it’s also a testament to our amazing Recruitment Team, vigilantly sourcing the talent that will take us forward.
Significant Office Move
Though our offices remain in the same location, we have moved to a larger space within our Birmingham Headquarters! This too is evident of our growing team and allows us to continue to add further talented individuals as we move through 2024.
Enhanced Employee Benefits Proposition
This year, Impact Futures has added significant value to its Employee Benefits package, including Enhanced Leave for Parents, Enhanced Sick Pay, Bereavement Leave, Grandparent Paid Leave, 3 extra days of Christmas Closure leave, and more.

We attended this fantastic event twice in 2024 – and both times were a huge success! Our stand was frequented by some lovely people who we loved talking to. In addition, our very own Bruce Morrison and Zoë Payne delivered their popular CPD sessions.
Partou Conference 2024
We were thrilled to sponsor and attend the Partou Conference this year! This incredible event brought together early years professionals and educators to share knowledge, inspiration, and innovation in childcare. It was an absolute privilege to be a part of it.
The 25th National Care Awards
Impact Futures were proud sponsors of the Care Team of the Year Award at the 25th National Care Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of those in long-term care. It was an honour to support incredible teams making a real difference every day.
