Impact Futures and The Childcare Company have a brand-new opportunity for a passionate individual who want to make an Impact in the future of our apprenticeships’ learners, to join our team as Residential Childcare Development Coach.

The role is hybrid, a blend between working from home and travelling occasionally to visit learners for progress reviews and additional tutoring within and around your given area.

Salary up to £37k per year (depending on experience and qualifications) plus bonus scheme of up to £10k per year on top, paid quarterly.

The Role:
As a Residential Childcare Development Coach you will be delivering and facilitating teaching, training, coaching and mentoring apprentices. The apprenticeship standard you will be delivering is Children, Young People and Families Practitioner – Residential Pathway.

The role will involve:

  • Lead a caseload of learners to support them to achieve their apprenticeship with monthly teaching sessions using a blended delivery approach (currently delivered remotely)
  • Supporting learners to achieve their FS level 2 in English & maths if they do not hold these on entry
  • Support learners to present evidence, which informs the apprenticeship knowledge, skills and behaviours for EPA
  • Monitoring learner progress across their apprenticeship

About you

You will:

  • Hold an assessing (CAVA/D23/A1) and a Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET or equivalent) Or willing to work towards these qualifications
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience in a residential home Or hold a recognised Level 5 or above in a Leadership and Management or
  • A minimum of Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Have experience in the delivery of Residential Childcare apprenticeships at Level 3 minimum, ideally Level 5 - desirable
  • Hold a Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or a level 2 in Functional Skills
