PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The broad purpose of the occupation is to provide clear, inclusive and strategic leadership and direction relating to their area of responsibility within an organisation.

Typically, this involves setting, managing and monitoring achievement of core objectives that are aligned to the overall strategic objectives of their organisation’s Board (or equivalent). In a smaller organisation they are also likely to contribute to the execution and achievement of these strategic objectives. A Senior Leader influences at a higher organisational level, including sometimes at Board (or equivalent) level, and sets the culture and tone across their area of responsibility.

This programme has been developed to meet the requirements of the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship standard awarded by the ILM.

You also have the option of undertaking the ILM Diploma for Senior Leaders alongside your apprenticeship which has been integrated in the programme design.

This high-level apprenticeship is suited to those already working in a senior management role, and at the end of this training programme, you will be awarded:

A Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship
An IEMA Official Certificate
An ILM Accredited Level 7 Diploma for Senior Leaders

ADDED VALUE

Residential experience
This two-day residential section of your apprenticeship will happen once in each year of study. It focuses on self-reflection, transforming your leadership, team, department or organisation.

IEMA training
This two-day course forms part of your apprenticeships, and is intended to support managers and supervisors from any industry in understanding the strategic and operational implications environmental sustainability has on them, their team and department.
