WHAT'S YOUR STORY AND BACKGROUND?
Let me share a bit about my journey! Having gained experience in various fields such as hairdressing, baking, and sales assistance. My skill set extends to the specialised area of off-loading fuel tankers at filling stations. While I've found enjoyment in each of my previous roles, a personal turning point led me to pursue a career in care. Reflecting on this transition, I genuinely wish I had ventured into the care sector earlier in life. My current apprenticeship is not just a professional development opportunity; it's a fulfilling pathway aligned with my passion for making a positive impact in the field of care.
WHY CHOOSE AN APPRENTICESHIP?
The inspiration behind my decision to start an apprenticeship program was fuelled by a strong desire to delve deeper into the intricacies of my job role and comprehend the underlying reasons for the established practices within my field. I recognised that undertaking an apprenticeship would provide me with a valuable opportunity to enhance my knowledge and competence, ultimately allowing me to excel in my duties. I am particularly thankful for the unwavering support extended by my manager throughout this journey. Their encouragement and assistance have played a pivotal role in creating a conducive environment for my apprenticeship, reinforcing my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE FUTURE?
In the future, after completing the Level 2 apprenticeship, my plan is to pursue the Level 3 apprenticeship in health and social care while continuing my role as a carer. Undertaking these different levels directly related to my job will provide me with a comprehensive understanding of the principles involved.
Over the next five years, I aim to initiate and successfully complete the Level 3 health and social care course. Additionally, I aspire to undergo first aid training to enhance my skills further.

I am extremely pleased with my partnership with Impact Futures. The training I received was outstanding, and I have felt supported throughout every stage of my course. How has your apprenticeship benefitted you?
The apprenticeship has proven to be immensely beneficial for me in several ways. One of the key advantages is the concurrent learning and application of knowledge directly within the context of my job. This hands-on approach has allowed me to seamlessly integrate theoretical concepts into practical tasks, fostering a deeper
understanding of my responsibilities.
Implementing the insights gained from the apprenticeship has not only enhanced my performance but has also made me more aware of the nuances of my work. Overall, the apprenticeship has been a valuable journey that continues to positively impact my professional growth.
