What is Higher Level Skills?
Our Higher Level Skills offering provides individuals aged 19 and above with the skills and learning required to progress, be that in the workplace or in to further education such as an apprenticeship.
Employers can also utilise higher level skills to improve or refresh the skills of their current workforce, and learners can benefit from higher level skills training to gain new skills, improve progression opportunities or support a career change.
We can offer funding for the below qualifications:
Level 3
Diploma for the Children's Workforce
(Early Years Educator)
Level 3
Diploma in Adult Care
Level 3
Diploma in Leadership & Management
Level 3
Diploma in Residential Childcare
Are my staff eligible?
- On the first day of learning, a resident must be aged 19 or older on 31st August within the 2023 to 2024 funding year, and reside in a residence with a Greater Manchester Combined Authority or West Midlands Combined Authority postcode
- All residents 19+ who don’t have a Level 3 qualification or have a Level 3 qualification and want to upskill/reskill
- Must be a resident of the UK/EU for a minimum of three years with the indefinite right to remain
