About the role

Are you an experienced trainer in the childcare care sector? Do you have a passion for teaching, specifically within apprenticeships?

Impact Futures and The Childcare Company have two exciting opportunities for two passionate individuals to join our Childcare Team as hybrid-based Early Years Development Coaches.

The Role:

As a Development Coach, you will be managing a caseload of apprentices to deliver a quality learning experience for their Level 2 Early Years Practitioner and Level 3 Early Years Educator. These are hybrid-based roles where there is an expectation to visit learners occasionally for progress reviews.
There is a requirement for a Level 5 Development Coach based in East Midlands, Derby/Notts/Leicester and a Level 3 or Level 5 Development Coach based in South West or South East of England – preferably, Hampshire or Wiltshire.

The role will involve:

  • Leading a caseload of learners to support them to achieve their apprenticeship or qualification as well as any additional requirements such as a Diploma through to Gateway and successful End Point Assessment
  • Regularly assessing work and provide constructive feedback including SPAG and updating the E- Portfolio system (Smart Assessor)
  • Identifying and supporting learners with additional learning needs and successfully use the neurodiversity platform Cognassist to support this
  • Supporting those learners who require Functional Skills Maths and/or English at Level 1 or 2

About you

You will:

  • Knowledge and experience in the delivery of Childcare apprenticeship standards including functional skills
  • Assessor Qualification E.G D32/D33, A1 or CAVA
  • PTLLS/AET or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Possess good literacy, numeracy and hold own Maths and English GCSE Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2
  • Extensive experience of working in a Early Years Setting
