Clinical Development Coach

About the role

Are you an experienced trainer in the clinical care sector? Do you have a passion for teaching, specifically within apprenticeships?

Impact Futures and The Childcare Company have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Healthcare Team as a remote-based Clinical Development Coach.

As a Development Coach, you will be delivering Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker and the and Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker to approximately 45 learners. This is a remote based role, but there is an expectation to visit learners occasionally for progress reviews and additional tutoring if required.

The role will involve:

  • Lead a caseload of learners to support them to achieve their apprenticeship in Level 2 and 3 Senior/Health Care Support Worker (various pathways)
  • Regularly assess work and provide constructive feedback including SPAG and update the E- Portfolio system (Smart Assessor)
  • Develop professional relationships with employers and apprentices, ensuring they understand their responsibilities in meeting the apprenticeship funding rules and making regular progress
  • Develop and promote excellent relations with all stakeholders internally and externally remaining professional in all forms of communication

About you

You will:

  • Hold a TAQA Assessor Award, A1, D32/33 or equivalent, as well as a PTLLS Teaching Qualification or equivalent
  • Hold a recognised qualification in care at a level 3 or above
  • Have experience in the delivery of apprenticeships, with an excellent understanding of apprenticeship standards, and up to date knowledge about the apprenticeship levy
  • Have clinical experience within the healthcare sector
  • Be fully vaccinated including both doses and booster jabs (or have a certified medical exemption)
